Despite being a somewhat depressing movie about the future of the world with the coming oil crisis, this movie is very informative about the problematic construction of suburbia that makes up a large portion of North American housing. The unsustainable nature of this lifestyle is brought to light in the film, though few solutions are offered on how to repair past mistakes. The focus of the documentary is around the Earth's oil reserves reaching their peak production and how this will create a chain reaction that makes it impossible for the suburban lifestyle to continue. Though all this sounds bad, the society that will be forced to develop out of small community based interactions and economies will lead to a more human existence that modern culture often lacks.
